It Changed EVERYTHING, Dec 25, 2022

John 1.1-14, Christmas

Theme: Christmas Day

I wish everyone a wonderful Merry Christmas.

For approximately 1022 years, Christians have set aside the 25th of December as the day Jesus of Nazareth was born. It has become for many, one of the most special days of the year – and rightly so.

Most in the world, even non-Christians recognize the importance of this man. His life was full of wonders. His life on this planet was full of miraculous events. His wise teachings recorded by his followers has transformed the world. His acts of compassion and healing are unprecedented. Then there is his horrible death and glorious resurrection. All these acts and events have touched almost every person since Jesus walked the roads of Israel.

The gospel of John introduces the coming of Jesus as being the light of the world. He definitely was that.

This is the reason we celebrate this special day. It is when we mark the transformation of humanity. Jesus is definitely the light of the world. His life with us changed EVERYTHING.

Worship with us in person at 10:30 AM as we will be giving thanks for the gift of the Messiah. The service will also be streamed live on the internet -- (https://fccmaryvillemo.com) or on the church’s home Facebook page. If you missed the live stream, a recorded session is also available to view at your convenience. Want to make a comment on my blog? Click on https://fccmaryvillemosanc.wixsite.com/ftdo.
